COATESVILLE HOME OWNERSHIP MADE EASY
Coatesville Home Ownership Made Easy (C.H.O.M.E) is a resource navigation program for first-time home buyer in the City of Coatesville. Through this program MCDC will collaborate with local organizations such as Housing Partnership of Chester County, Habitat for Humanity, Open Hearth, 2nd Century Alliance and the City of Coatesville, to assist individuals and families interested in purchasing a home within Chester County.
C.H.O.M.E’s Program Manager, along with these community partners will lead the charge to educate potential buyers and provide tools ranging from: qualifying steps, simple banking, credit repair and support services. This collaboration will usher in a new approach to home ownership and training to build stronger communities and provide clients with new skills to navigate the housing market. With a stronger sustainable training base, program participants are better equipped to manage and avoid any future homeowner gaps, deficiencies or potential shortfalls including, maintenance and financial hardships. CHOME will help redefine the home buying experience, educational resources, and hands-on engagement. Available community organizations and investors will aid in providing helpful resources leading to home ownership. These organizations and partners are on the cutting edge of improving social norms and developing enterprising projects that will changing the lives of Coatesville residents. MCDC’s leadership will convene regional experts with an unrelenting interest toward preserving local home ownership.
