Newsletter: Movement Community Development Corporation Year in Review

As we reflect on the past year, it's incredible to see the multitude of achievements and milestones reached by our team. We are grateful for all your hard work and dedication in making a positive impact on our community. Here's a recap of the significant accomplishments we've achieved together:

Rehabilitation Program: Over the course of the year, we successfully rehabilitated (60) homes in our local community. This substantial effort, driven by the dedication and passion of our team members, not only improved the living conditions for families and individuals but also created a sense of hope and renewal for the community as a whole. We are proud to have played a part in making our community a better place to live.

Collaboration with Home Depot to repair Veterans Homes.

Adult Prom and Scholarship Drive: This year, we held an unforgettable adult prom, bringing MCDC members together for an evening filled with joy and celebration. The highlight of the event was the announcement of almost $20,000 in scholarships awarded to deserving high school graduates. By investing in the education of our young community members, we are empowering them to pursue their dreams and achieve their full potential.

Free Credit Repair Program: Through our dedicated efforts, our free credit repair program has positively impacted the lives of over 160 individuals. By helping them improve their creditworthiness, we've provided them with greater financial opportunities and set them on a path towards a brighter future. This program exemplifies our commitment to supporting individuals and empowering them to overcome financial challenges.

Partnership in Returning Citizens Program: We are excited to announce our partnership with the 2Fish Organization in a returning citizens program. This initiative aims to support individuals who have been incarcerated in successfully reintegrating into society. By providing them with comprehensive support and resources, we are helping them rebuild their lives and contributing to creating a more inclusive and compassionate community.

Looking Ahead: As we embark on another year of impactful work, we have several exciting initiatives planned. Here's a sneak peek of what's in store:
