MCDC Scholarship Initiative

The mission of The Movement Community Development Corporation (MCDC) Scholarship Program is to empower and invest in the future leaders of the Coatesville Area by supporting graduating high school seniors who are committed to furthering their education. What began as an idea among a few dedicated board members in 2022 has grown into an annual scholarship program that supports and celebrates students as they pursue their academic and career aspirations.

Through this scholarship, MCDC seeks to recognize students who demonstrate academic dedication, perseverance, leadership, community involvement, and a desire to make a meaningful difference in the world around them. Funded through donations and fundraising efforts, the program provides financial assistance to help reduce barriers to higher education and encourage students to pursue their goals with confidence and determination.

MCDC is committed to fostering educational achievement and supporting the next generation of leaders, innovators, and professionals who will contribute to the continued growth and success of the Coatesville community and beyond. To further this mission, MCDC awards a one-time scholarship to eligible high school seniors who meet the established criteria. Applications are open each spring.
